Lexie Barnes “Dottie”

December 9th, 2009 by Karen

I just got a new toy in the last couple weeks and I wanted to be sure toDSC03192 review it while I had a few moments!
Lexie Barnes is an accessories designer living and working out of Massachusetts.  She has some really great innovative craft and travel bags that I just LOVE!
When she announced her new line earlier this year, I had to check it out, and was thrilled to see her new Crochet Hook Case “Dottie”
I have been using Dottie for the last 2 weeks now, and I am totally and thoroughly in love with it!
Here are the features taken directly from the Lexie Barns Website:

“Features: 18 pockets in varying heights; clear zip notions pocket; protective padding; dual zip closure; water-resistant waxed canvas; wipeable logo lining; durable black ballistic piping; and nickel hardware.”

And it really is all that and more!
The protective padding is what I love the most.  As a crocheter who is most comfortable using wood hooks, the padding is thick enough to protect even my tiny D’s and E’s.  Having 18 pockets that are actually larger than most hook cases means that I can carry All of my favorite hooks with me all the time.  And having that zippered pocket is a convenience for carrying the extra notions such as stitch DSC03191 markers, yarn needles and row counters all in one little packet.
Dottie comes in 3 fashionable patterns including my “Delilah”.  The wipeable canvas is perfect for those accidental spills of coffee that I am known for!
If you haven’t checked them out yet, I highly highly recommend you do so.  I am thrilled with this case.
And for you knitters out there, Check out “Cocco” the case for Circulars.  I have that one on my list too! :) DSC03190
